From ‘gross comedy’ to ‘show-off’, when celebs slammed The Kapil Sharma Show for various reasons

The Kapil Sharma Show: Comedian Kapil Sharma has created a name for himself in the showbiz. He invites celebrities on his The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS) and has a great fan following across the globe. However, there are many celebrities who have slammed Kapil and his show for several reasons. Lets’ look at some serious allegations made against the comedian and his show.

Bhumika Chawla feels bad

Actor Bhumika Chawla is the latest celeb who has attacked TKSS. She recently starred in Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Ahead of its release, the film's team was busy promoting the film and visited the Kapil Sharma's. Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vinali Bhatnagar came to the show.

Though Bhumika is a key character in the film, she was missing from TKSS. She recalled how she got to know about it from someone else while she was out and about with her pet dog. She told RJ Siddharth Kannan in Hindi, “I said ‘I had no idea when it was shot’. But, they must have had some strategy. I felt bad for one second then I thought Venkatesh sir wasn’t there. We are a couple in the film. I did my calculation. Since he wasn't called, what would I say alone [in the show]? Those three couples were called, they are youngsters, their equation is different. So, I said ‘thik hai (it’s okay)'.”

Raftaar calls it a show off

Another celebrity Raftaar was invited to the show but he wasn't happy with YKSS. In a live chat on a YouTuber Dank Rishu's channel, he said in Hindi, “Basically what happens is this, we do the work, but when we go there, we have to show that we are big people.” He further added, “It’s all show-off. It helps build a reputation in front of the public, you look big, even when parents watch it, they feel proud that you’ve appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show. People start to talk about it though that person has no real value otherwise."

WWE superstar Saurav Gurjar expressed his displeasure with Kapil Sharma and his team for creating fake comments under his post on Instagram. This happened when Ranbir had appeared with co-stars, Shraddha Kapoor and Anubhav Singh Bassi on TKSS. In Post Ka Postmortem segment, Kapil took Saurav's pic with Ranbir and read out comments that Saurav claimed were never there on his account. Seeing this, Saurav tweeted in Hindi, “You are a good human being, Kapil Sharma. You make people laugh but how could you and your team show fake comments on someone's social media. This is not acceptable."

Gross comedy, says Shailesh Lodha

Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma actor Shailesh Lodha appeared on TKSS last year. But in the past he once slammed the show for its 'gross' comedy. In a video, Shailesh said, I feel ashamed to watch some shows where the grandmother wants to kiss everyone, a bua is shown to be desperate to get married and the wife is harrassed by the husband. Instead I work in a show where the son touches his father's feet for everything)."

However, later, Shailesh defended his statement on Siddharth Kannan's show.
