Mouni Roy has finally broken her silence on the rumours surrounding her personal life. After weeks of speculation online, Mouni and her husband Suraj Nambiar officially confirmed that they have decided to part ways. In a joint statement shared on social media, the couple requested privacy and urged people not to spread false stories about their relationship.
While confirming the end of their marriage, Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar also revealed that they continue to respect and cherish their bond.

Addressing the ongoing buzz around their marriage, the duo released a detailed statement. They wrote, “Humbly requesting everyone to give us privacy and dignity and not give out any false stories about me or Suraj. Expecting all of you to give us privacy in these hard times. Humble request to all the media houses to please stop.”
The couple also reacted strongly to media reports and rumours circulating online. Their statement read, “We note with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention into out personal lives by certain quarters of the media.”
Confirming the separation, they added, “We have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably.”
Mouni and Suraj further criticised attempts to sensationalise their private life. They mentioned that several “fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods” were being spread which did not reflect the truth of their relationship. Although they did not directly mention cheating rumours, the statement made it clear that many reports surrounding the reason behind the split were inaccurate.
Mouni Says They Still Cherish Their Bond
Despite announcing the end of their marriage, the couple maintained a respectful and mature tone throughout their statement. They shared, “After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding.”
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar also revealed that they are focusing on handling this difficult phase privately. The duo said they continue to cherish their bond and friendship even after deciding to separate.
A Look Back At Mouni Roy And Suraj Nambiar’s Relationship
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar first met during New Year celebrations in Dubai in 2019. The two kept their relationship mostly private before tying the knot in a lavish multi-cultural wedding ceremony in Goa on January 27, 2022.
Apart from their personal relationship, the couple also entered the business world together. They co-founded the Ed-Tech platform Ultimate Gurus and later launched the luxury Mumbai restaurant Badmaash.
Before officially confirming their separation, rumours about trouble in their marriage had already been circulating on social media for several weeks.
