‘Woh sab udhar ka paisa tha,’ Uorfi Javed says took a loan for clothes, to enter Bigg Boss

Uorfi Javed has emerged as a phenomenon to reckon with. She is unstoppable. With comfort in her skin and confidence in her craft, Uorfi has made a place for herself in the showbiz. The popular social media sensation often sets internet ablaze with her sartorial choices.

We know Uorfi can bear it all when it comes to her clothing. But in a rare instance, Uorfi has bared her soul with humans of Bombay as the former Bigg Boss contestant talked about her financial struggles, journey to stardom and more.

‘Took a loan to go to Bigg Boss’

Urfi shared her experience of going to the Bigg Boss house and being evicted in the first weekend itself. She also revealed that she lent money from people to buy clothes to go to Bigg Boss OTT.

“I have started to feel financially secure only now. I didn’t have money till last year. All my public appearances, in front of the media, dressed up like that, woh sab udhar ke paiso ka tha (it was all on loan). I had taken a loan even to go on Bigg Boss, that please mujhe paise de do (please lend me money), I need to buy clothes, stitch clothes. I had taken loan from several people and I have paid them back, finally, now,” Uorfi said.

‘Even now I don’t feel financially very secure’

Uorfi further said that she has a lot of responsibilities and whatever she is earning is being spent on her family. She said that she hardly spends on herself.

“Till about a year ago, I didn’t have money to pay rent. I would somehow pay rent. I knew I wouldn’t struggle for food, as I would have friends who could feed me. But everything else was a stress– where would the heels come from, the clothes, the make up. Even right now, I am unable to save a lot, and I am not even a spend thrift! I don’t spend on myself, I don’t go to a parlour, I don’t have luxurious items, but I have a lot of responsibilities. I have hired so many people to work for me, so my money keeps going into those things, my family… So even now I don’t feel financially very secure,” she signed off.
