Kangana Ranaut is once again making headlines with her shocking and distasteful remarks. In a new interview on Hauterrfly’s YouTube channel, the actress and politician shared her strong views on dating apps and live-in relationships. She argued that such modern trends are harmful to society and unfair to women.
Kangana Ranaut Calls Dating App Users ‘Nich’ And Losers
When asked if she would ever try a dating app, Kangana instantly refused. She said, “I have never wanted to be on dating apps. That is the true ‘gutter’ of our society. Everybody has a need, be it financial, physical, or anything else.”
The actress explained that human needs are natural, but how one fulfils them defines character. She criticised the casual culture of dating, calling it “a horrible situation.” Taking a direct dig, she labelled dating apps as “nich” (low class) and said she would never be seen there.
Kangana added that people who use such apps are often insecure or seeking validation. “You wouldn’t find people like me on dating apps. You’ll only find losers there, the people who haven’t achieved anything in their life.” Instead, she believes meaningful relationships can grow during work, studies, or with arranged marriage.

Why Kangana Opposes Live-In Relationships
The conversation then turned to live-in relationships, and Kangana expressed her complete opposition. She said marriage remains an essential part of Indian culture because it ensures loyalty and accountability.
She stated, “These days, you hear about new ideas such as live-in relationships. Throughout my life, I have been in relationships, and I have seen other people who indulge in such things, but I can assure you that these are not women-friendly things.”
According to her, men can walk away easily, leaving women to suffer. She said, “Men are hunters who can impregnate any woman and run away.” She further questioned, “If you get pregnant tomorrow during a live-in relationship, who is going to take care of you?”
While she admitted that living together is not illegal, Kangana stressed that Indian laws exist to protect women. She explained that men and women think differently. She concluded, “No matter how much we empower ourselves or educate ourselves with books and surveys, scientifically speaking, men can compartmentalise and women can’t.”
