Yo Yo Honey Singh Justifies His Vulgar Remark At Delhi Concert, Apologises And Says ‘Mai Apni Zuban Pe Niyantran Rakhunga…’ – WATCH

Yo Yo Honey Singh apologised after a viral clip from a Delhi concert sparked backlash over his vulgar remark. The rapper said his message on safe sex was misunderstood and promised to be more careful.

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh landed in controversy after a remark he made at a recent Delhi concert triggered strong backlash on social media. A short clip from the event went viral, with many users calling his language vulgar and inappropriate. Soon after, the singer issued a public apology and tried to clarify his intent.

The incident happened during a concert by independent artists Nanku and Karun, where Honey Singh was present as a guest. Videos from the show surfaced on platforms such as Reddit and X and quickly spread online. Several users accused the rapper of using crude language and sending the wrong message to young audiences.

Yo Yo Honey Singh Apologises For Vulgar Remarks At Delhi Concert

As the criticism grew, Yo Yo Honey Singh addressed the issue through a video message shared on his Instagram account on Thursday. In the video, he explained the background of his remark and apologised to those who felt offended.

The rapper said that he had recently spoken to gynaecologists and sexologists, who informed him about the increasing number of young people suffering from sexually transmitted diseases. According to Honey Singh, this conversation influenced him to speak about safe sex during the concert, which had a largely Gen Z crowd.

He said, “When I went on the show, I saw the Gen Z audience and thought I’d give them a message in their language – to not have unprotected sex and use condoms. I thought I’d speak in the language they will understand better, the way they watch OTT content and movies.”

However, Honey Singh admitted that his choice of words did not go down well with many people. He accepted that the message was misunderstood and ended up hurting sentiments.

He said, “Lekin woh bhasha kaiyon ko bahut buri lagi. Main aap sab se maafi maangta hoon jinko meri who bhasha buri lagi. Mera kisiko thes pahuchane ka koi maqsad nahi tha. Insaan ek galtiyon ka putla hai.”

The rapper further assured fans that he would be more careful in the future. He added, “Main koshish karunga aaj k baad aisi galti dobara na ho. Main apni zubaan pe niyantran rakhunga jab main koi baat bolunga aur kisko bolunga, kis tarah bolunga.”

Yo Yo Honey Singh also claimed that the viral clip was edited and shared without proper context, which added to the outrage. He ended his video with another apology, saying, “Aap sabse maafi. Aapka apna Yo Yo Honey Singh, isi tarah pyaar dete rahiye.”

Sharing the clip online, he wrote, “Bhool chuk maaf. My apology.”

How Netizens Reacted

Despite the apology, reactions online remained mixed. Some users felt his message was poorly delivered, while others questioned the logic behind his explanation. Read some user comments on the video below:

“Message Dene Ka Trika Thoda Casual Tha.”

“Lekin sir wo car me karne ki baat hui thi wo bhi sex education me aata hai kya.”

“Ai hi bol dete.”

“Abb ispe hi song bna do.”

“Paaji thoda slow slow ho jata he flow flow me.”

The controversy began after a clip from the Delhi concert showed Honey Singh saying, “B*d Dilli ki thand! Isme na gaadi mein **** mein bada maza aata hai, itni thand mein. Gaadi mein sex karo, Dilli ki thand mein. Use condoms, guys, please. Play safe!”

The remarks were widely criticised online, with many users calling them “vulgar” and “cheap,” especially given the young audience present at the show.
