Bhojpuri cinema superstar Khesari Lal Yadav is all set to make his debut in Hindi entertainment. He will appear in the web series Zamanat, marking his first foray into Hindi digital content. Fans have eagerly awaited this move, as the actor looks to expand his presence beyond Bhojpuri cinema.

Khesari Lal is not the first Bhojpuri actor to explore Hindi digital content – Ravi Kishan has already made a mark in this space. However, this is the first time a top-tier Bhojpuri superstar is entering Hindi web series territory. Many are keen to see how his established Bhojpuri popularity translates into the Hindi market.

Khesari Lal Yadav: Career Journey

Born Shatrughan Kumar Yadav on March 15, 1986, in Dhanadih, Saran, Bihar, Khesari Lal Yadav is a celebrated actor, singer, and dancer in Bhojpuri cinema. He began his career in the late 2000s as a singer and made his acting debut in 2011 with the film Sajan Chale Sasural. His breakthrough came with the 2017 hit Mehandi Laga Ke Rakhna, earning him Best Actor (Male) and Best Playback Singer (Male) at the Sabrang Film Awards in 2018. In 2019, he appeared on the reality show Bigg Boss 13, further boosting his fame.

Khesari Lal has acted in over 70 films and recorded more than 5,000 songs in Bhojpuri, Hindi, Awadhi, and Haryanvi. His major films include Sangharsh (2018) and its sequel Sangharsh 2 (2023), one of the biggest-budget Bhojpuri films ever. He has also tried screenwriting with the 2022 film Aashiqui. His music career continues to thrive, with hits like “Saiyan Arab Gaile Na” and his debut Hindi single “Ladki Patana,” released by Sony Music India.

Apart from this, Khesari Lal supports philanthropy through his NGO, the Khesari Foundation. He helps educate 62 orphaned children and contributes to flood relief efforts in Bihar.
