Amul Vs Country Delight Vs Mother Dairy Milk Test: Families across India count on eminent milk brands such as Amul, Mother Dairy and Country Delight for their daily glass of milk. However, a bombshell lab report from Trustified has exposed a major hygiene and safety crisis for all milk lovers in the country. It is not just about product quality or spoilage but about a direct and significant effect to everyone’s health, especially to that of vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, infants and growing children.
Amul Vs Country Delight Vs Mother Dairy Milk Test Is Your Milk Safe Test Results Reveal BIG-The Lab Test Shockers
Trustified, a consumer advocacy group, subjected several variants of milks offered by Amul, Mother Dairy and Country Delight to stringent microbial testing under Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines.
Amul Taaza (Pouch) and Amul Gold (Pouch)
Coliforms (bacteria present in the digestive tracts of animals) was detected far beyond the guidelines of FSSAI. These faecal bacteria indicator signals contamination from unclean storage or processing.
Country Delight Cow Milk (Pouch)
The total plate count (TPC) was twice the FSSAI guidelines, reflecting bacterial contamination including coliforms that may produce toxins causing diarrhoea, gastroenteritis or digestive issues upon consumption. Elevated TPC reduces shelf life, reduce nutritional value and may alter texture or taste via spoilage.
DON'T MISS
Mother Dairy Cow Milk (Pouch)
The total plate count (TPC) was 8 times the FSSAI guidelines, which means millions more bacteria per millilitre than allowed.
Amul Taaza Tetra Pack
In stark contrast, Amul Taaza Tetra Pack emerged as the safest, with no violations or concerning lab test results.
Conclusion
None of the pouch packs cleared the disease-causing bacteria test. Tetra packs, thanks to Ultra-High temperature (UTH) processing and sterile packaging, was the only one that prevent post-pasteurization contamination.
What Does This Mean For Your And Your Family’s Health?
Milk pouch variants of the above brands are not for your health, especially if you and your loved ones belong to vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, infants or growing children. This is simply because elevated total plate counts and high coliforms are not just numbers but gateways to real harm, including life-threatening diseases and even deaths in acute cases.
The presence of coliforms can denote E. coli or pathogens like Salmonella that can trigger food poisoning with fever, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps or vomiting. Pregnant women may face preterm labour, dehydration risks or haemolytic uremic syndrome (kidney failure). Elderly people with weak immunity levels can be put to an increased risk for sepsis, resulting in septic shock in rare cases. Infants and young children may experience stunted growth due to chronic gut inflammation induced by elevated total plate counts and high coliforms.
Repeated exposure to elevated total plate counts and high coliforms can result in poor gut health, causing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), weakened immunity and nutrient malabsorption. The 8x bacterial overload of Mother Dairy Cow Milk (Pouch) could result in antibiotic-resistant strains, complicating medical procedures and treatments.
Switch to proven-safe tetra packs, boil milk for 5-10 minutes to slash bacteria, refrigerate below 4°C immediately and stay vigilant!
