A video about HPV Vaccines is going viral on Instagram after an Ayurveda doctor shared her personal views on vaccine safety and mandates. The clip has sparked debate online, with many people discussing natural immunity and freedom of choice. Here is what she said in the video.
Doctor Sugandha Sharma, who holds a BAMS degree and an MD in Ayurveda, spoke openly about her stand on HPV Vaccines. She clarified that she was sharing her personal opinion.
HPV Vaccines: Doctor Shares Her Personal Belief
In the video, Dr Sharma says she does not prefer or support any kind of vaccine. She mentions that she recently found out she did not receive vaccines during her childhood. According to her, she is healthy and does not suffer from any major illness.
She explains:
- She rarely falls sick, maybe once in six months.
- Even when she does, it is usually a minor illness.
- She does not have serious health concerns at present.
Dr Sharma says she believes strongly in innate or natural immunity. She describes it as “God-given” immunity and says she trusts it completely. Because of this belief, she feels she does not personally need vaccines.
At the same time, she questions both sides of the debate. She asks those who claim HPV Vaccines are unsafe to provide proper clinical trial reports or documented proof. The doctor says people should not rely on rumours or hearsay.
She also refers to reports from around 2010, when approximately 24,000 girls reportedly received the vaccine and seven deaths were reported. However, she notes that government findings linked those deaths to other causes such as malaria, drowning or existing medical conditions. According to official reports, no direct link to the vaccine was found.
Why These Vaccines Remain A Talking Point
HPV Vaccines are designed to protect against the human papillomavirus, which can lead to cervical cancer and other related diseases. Health authorities in many countries recommend the vaccine based on large clinical trials and ongoing safety monitoring.
However, debates continue because of:
- Personal beliefs about natural immunity
- Concerns about vaccine mandates
- Questions around freedom of choice
- Social media discussions
Dr Sharma’s main concern in the video is about compulsory vaccination. She questions why vaccines should be mandatory. She says those who want to take them should be free to do so, but others should not be forced.
In the end, she encourages people to focus on healthy food, good habits and strengthening natural immunity in children.
