In Bihar’s Nalanda, a case of death of five people has come to light due to drinking of poisonous liquor. The families of the victims have claimed that all died due to drinking spurious liquor. The case is of the small hill Talli Mohalla of Sohsarai police station area of Nalanda district.
At the same time, the condition of 3 people remains critical.
Treatment is going on in a private clinic. Their relatives told that after drinking alcohol, everyone’s health suddenly started deteriorating. According to the information, the police administration is busy investigating the matter.
After SHO Suresh Prasad, Sadar DSP Dr Shibli Nomani reached the spot and took information from the relatives. At the same time, the local people have talked about making liquor in the surrounding areas.
At the same time, in Hargawa village of Manpura police station area, two people have died under suspicious circumstances.
This happened when Bihar government is working continuously to make the prohibition law effective. The government is constantly taking action against liquor smugglers and drinkers. Police is continuously making arrests of liquor smugglers.

On the other hand, the Supreme Court has expressed strong displeasure over the increasing number of cases due to the prohibition law of the Bihar government.
According to media reports, a bench headed by Chief Justice CJI NV Ramana, while hearing the cases related to liquor smuggling in Bihar, strongly reprimanded the Bihar government and said that these cases have suffocated the courts. Only 14-15 judges of Patna High Court hear these cases. Because of this, no other case is being heard.
In fact, the Bihar government had gone to the Supreme Court to get the bail of those who were arrested by the Bihar Police in liquor cases. But the Patna High Court had granted him bail. The Bihar government had also reached the Supreme Court regarding many such cases where the court had granted anticipatory bail to the accused even after the matter was painful under the prohibition law.
