Blackhead Removal: From Clogged Pores To Flawless Glow! Skincare Guru’s Top Remedies For Stubborn Open Comedones Revealed

Blackhead Removal: Blackheads tend to thrive in oily environments. They could also happen to poor diet, humidity, hormonal changes or poor cleansing. Touching your face at every possible interval could transfer harmful bacteria, worsening clogs.

Blackhead Removal: From school-going children to adults, blackheads or open comedones could trouble anyone anytime. Blackheads appear as tiny dark (black coloured) spots on your chin, forehead, nose or any other body part. They are usually formed when skin pores get clogged with dead skin cells, dirt and excess oil.

Blackheads Vs Whiteheads

Open comedones (blackheads) unlike closed comedones (whiteheads) oxidize upon air exposure, turning black. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend a fortune on pricey facials or harsh chemicals.

Why Blackheads Form And How To Stop Them?

Blackheads tend to thrive in oily environments. They could also happen to poor diet, humidity, hormonal changes or poor cleansing. Touching your face at every possible interval could transfer harmful bacteria, worsening clogs.

To prevent blackheads, you should cleanse the affected body part(s) with a tea tree oil cleanser or salicylic acid for dissolving oil without stripping skin. Thereafter, you need to exfoliate twice or thrice every week for sloughing off dead cells. Once this has been done, you need to moisturize with non-comedogenic products and apply sunscreen daily as ultraviolet rays aggravate oxidation.

Blackhead Removal Tips

You can mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of raw honey and a splash of water for a paste. Now, you need to apply this paste to damp and clean skin, focusing on blackhead zones and massage it gently in circles for 3-5 minutes. Lastly, leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water before following it with moisturizer. Follow this procedure twice or thrice a week.

It is also advised that you should cut down on sugar and dairy as they could increase the production of sebum (the oily substance that protects your skin from drying out). Ideally, you should load up on antioxidants from green tea, omega-3s (in flaxseeds or walnuts) and berries.
