COVID-19: Kerala Makes Masks Mandatory In Public Places

Covid-19 Face masks are now mandatory in all public areas, workplaces, and gatherings, as per Kerala government orders.

The state government has also ordered that effective steps be taken to ensure social distancing in its order from January 12 in order to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

In order to protect people from a potential virus attack, the government also instructed stores, theatres, and event organisers to set up facilities for hand washing and the use of sanitizers.

The order, which was made in response to worries about a potential spike in COVID-19 cases across the nation, stated that it would take effect on January 12, 2023 and would be in place for 30 days across all of the state.

According to the Union Health Ministry data, India logged 114 new coronavirus infections on Monday, while the active cases declined to 2,119.
