Delhi reports 3,674 fresh Covid-19 cases

Delhi on Saturday reported 4,483 fresh Covid-19 cases, a positivity rate of 7.41 per cent and 28 deaths, according to data shared by the city health department.

This marks a decline of nearly 800 infections as compared to the previous day. The death toll due to the disease in Delhi stands at 25,827 and the fatality rate is 1.41%.

According to the state health department, 6,954 patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries in the national capital to 17,80,172.

The city has 21,490 active Covid-19 cases of which 16,165 are currently in home isolation.

The total number of containment zones are as of date are 38,853.

India’s daily Covid curve showed marginal improvement as the country reported 2.34 lakh cases today. The active cases now comprise 4.59 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has decreased to 94.21 per cent.

The daily positivity rate was up from 13.39 per cent to 14.50 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 16.40 per cent. The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive has exceeded 165.70 crore, the ministry said.
