Indore News: The city of Indore has been fighting an atrocious health battle. Seven people have died and more than 100 people have been hospitalized after consuming contaminated water. However, Kailash Vijayvargiya seems to have mocked the plight of Indore when asked to comment on the water tragedy.
What did Kailash Vijayvargiya said about the Indore water tragedy?
A journalist asked Kailash Vijayvargiya, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of Madhya Pradesh, about the Indore water tragedy.
Vijayvargiya went angry and asked the reporter to stop asking irrelevant questions and mocks him by saying, “Tu Kya Ghanta Hoke Aaya Hai?” This infuriated the reporter and he asks back that the Minister should learn some basic talking manners and etiquettes.
Indore News: How many died and hospitalized?
More than 100 people have been hospitalized after complaining of vomiting and diarrhoea. It is widely believed that a leakage in the Bhagirathpur area resulted in the mixing of sewage water with drinking water. This caused the death of 9 people.
Angry relatives and family members of those hospitalized said Kailash Vijayvargiya had promised them free medical treatment even at private hospitals in Indore. However, they were demanding Rs. 50,000 before giving any form of medical treatment to the victims.
Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has offered a financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs to the families of those deceased. Yadav also directed all hospitals in the state to offer free medical treatment to those hospitalized.
In-charge sub-engineer Shubham Shrivastava had been dismissed. Indore Municipal Corporation zonal officer Shaligram Sitole and assistant engineer Yogesh Joshi had been suspended by the MP government with immediate effect.
