Low Sperm Count-Primary Causes Unpacked
The primary causes of low sperm count include sedentary jobs (more than 8 hours of sitting) could raise scrotal heat by 2-4°C, halving motility. Smoking could cut sperm motility by 15-22 percent while keeping laptops on laps could cut down sperm motility by 24 percent.
Gutka, cigarette and paan consumption could slash sperm motility by 35 percent via oxidative stress. Obesity, alcohol and consumption of anabolic androgenic steroids or related compounds could also increase the risk of poor sperm count and motility.
Prevention & Reversal Blueprint
First and foremost, you should quit alcohol and tobacco and that may help improve sperm motility by as much as 25-40 percent within 74 days. Ditch tight underwear, saunas and hot baths. Prefer organic produce, filter water and avoid microwaved plastics.
Say yes to pumpkin seeds, oysters, pomegranate juice, walnuts, spinach, lentils, Vitamin E, Ashwagandha and L-Carnitine. Avoid Fried parathas, Pesticide veggies, Smoking, Gutka, soda and Alcohol.
Myth Busted
Contrary to popular belief, masturbation does not deplete the sperm reserves of your body in the long term. This is simply because an average man produces millions of new sperms every day – around 1500 sperms per second. Frequent ejaculation may reduce sperm count or volume temporarily.
