A recent Milk Test by Trustified has sparked fresh discussion among consumers. Trustified is India’s first 100% blind testing certification platform. In its latest video, the team shared the lab report of Country Delight High Protein Milk. This was one of the most requested tests by viewers, mainly because the milk claims to offer more protein than a scoop of whey protein.
To put that in context, one scoop of whey usually gives around 24 grams of protein. Country Delight’s High Protein Milk claims over 30 grams per pack. That bold promise made people curious. So, Trustified decided to put the product through a detailed blind lab test.
One important point stood out from the start. The milk sample was collected directly by the lab. This step matters because milk is a perishable product. Ordering it online, unboxing it on camera, and then sending it to the lab could spoil the sample. Direct collection helps avoid that risk.
Milk Test: What The Nutrition Results Showed
The testing was done at multiple levels. In Level 1, the focus was on nutrition accuracy. The company states that one full packet of 425 ml is one serving. According to the label, it provides 30.2 grams of protein. The lab found 31.86 grams per serving. This means the protein claim passed the test.
However, there were differences in other values. Carbohydrates were listed as 13.6 grams, but the lab found 17.6 grams. Fat was also higher than claimed. The label mentioned 13.6 grams, while the test showed 16.07 grams. These gaps were noted, but they were not the biggest concern.
In Level 2, amino acid testing was done. This checks whether extra protein comes from amino spiking. The report showed no signs of amino spiking. That is a positive result. Further tests for melamine, heavy metals, aflatoxins, and pesticides also came back clean. Most values were below the limit of quantification or not detected. Even elemental copper, which was detected, stayed within safe limits.
Where The Product Failed The Hygiene Check
The real issue appeared in Level 7. This stage looks at microbiological safety. Simply put, it checks hygiene and contamination. Here, the product failed. Three microbiological parameters were detected. While E. coli could not be used to fail the product due to updated rules, coliforms and total plate count were far above the FSSAI limits.
To be sure, the lab repeated the test. The repeat results were even higher. According to experts, such readings point to contamination and poor hygiene during handling or processing.
So, what does this Milk Test tell us? Nutritionally, the high-protein claim holds up. But from a safety and hygiene point of view, the findings raise concern. Trustified has placed the product in its failed category based on microbiological results.
Protein numbers matter for us, but hygiene matters more. Blind testing like this helps people see the full picture before making daily food choices.
