Do these five things during Chaitra Navratri 2023
- To obtain the special blessings of Maa Durga during Chaitra Navratri, one should observe a fast for the entire nine days. However, if that is not possible, then fasting on the first, fourth and eighth day is also considered beneficial.
- To receive the blessings of Maa Durga, it is recommended to install idols of Maa Durga, Maa Lakshmi and Maa Saraswati at the place of worship on the first day of Navratri and worship them.
- To ensure happiness and prosperity remain in the house, it is crucial to light an unbroken lamp during these nine days of Chaitra Navratri. It is also recommended to chant the mantra 'Om Ae Hree Klein Chamundayai Vichai' while performing worship.
- Reciting Durga Saptashati on the day of Navratri is considered a necessity. However, if it is not possible to complete the recitation, then one can recite Kavach, Keelak, and Argala sources to take full advantage of Durga Saptashati.
- During Navratri Puja, it is customary to sit on a red-colored woolen aasan. If a red-colored aasan is not available, then taking a blanket and putting another red-colored cloth on it to sit and worship is also acceptable.
