Christmas tree decoration: Christmas is around the corner, festivity is in the air. It’s an occasion to have valuable time with family and friends. But are you prepared to jazz up the celebrations? Prepare the tree

First of all, make sure that the tree has been arranged. Whether it is a real tree or an artificial one, it should be ready for decoration. If a real tree, prune the branches at the bottom, and also any extra ones to give it a neat look. Even an articificial tree needs to be cleaned, the branches need to be reshaped. So do the needful.

Bring out your old decorations, if any. Check if they are in order. Buy new ones and keep them ready.

Choosing the lights

Choose softer and delicate LED fairy lights to be draped from the top of the tree. Give the traditional twinkle lights a miss this year. You can string the lights from the top or bottom. Or even vertically.

Start with the large decorations first, like garlands or other ornaments. It is easier to adjust the bigger items when there is nothing else on the tree. Ask family members, especially kids, to write their Christmas wishes. Hang them around the Christmas tree and tie with a ribbon.

Use a ribbons instead wire or thread for the room decor to give the room an aesthetic look and make your Christmas tree look chic and elegant.

Have fun with kids

Adults can join the kids in this activity and guide them. That would be so much more fun. Use pinecones and pretty metallic baubles or just create your version of decoration items. Kids can also use their tiny toys as decoration.

Make sure the Christmas tree is pet friendly. Use items that are difficult to chew or swallow.

Do not forget to use family pictures on the tree. Hang them on the tree as decorative pieces and keep adding as and when you get them printed or formed. From the eldest to the youngest, add photos of all the people you care about and love.

Whatever you do, do not do what everyone is doing. Choose your own style scheme and use all your decorative items, be innovative. Last but not the least, use imagination to decorate the Christmas tree.
