Guru Purnima 2023:  On a full moon day, Guru Purnima is celebrated. It is a ceremony dedicated to one's Guru or Teacher, as the name suggests. Guru Purnima, on a full moon day of the Hindu month of Ashadha which falls in June or July, is celebrated according to the Gregorian calendar. On that day, Lord Buddha's followers are also honored because they believe he has preached the first sermon of his life. Millions of Hindus and Buddhists celebrate the occasion of Guru Purnima all over India.

For those planning to celebrate Guru Purnima, it is essential to be aware of the puja timings and rituals associated with this festival. The Purnima Tithi, or full moon period, begins on July 2, according to Drik Panchang. Guru Purnima will be celebrated on Monday, July 3 2023.

Guru Purnima’s custom and rituals
