Health Tips: Hairfall is common among everyone. It is a natural phenomenon that happens to every individual on the planet. This is usually caused by myriads of factors ranging from hormonal changes to genetic reasons. However, a common hair fall differs from hair loss, a more serious issue.

Hairfall vs Hairloss

Hairfall is a way of shedding hair for healthier hair to grow. Although everyone faces hair fall and sees a reduction in hair thickness through the years, it is an inevitable process that is not very noticeable either. However, hair loss involves losing more than 100 hairs. Therefore, if a person loses more than 100 hair each time, it can be deemed as hair loss. As a result, the person may start facing visible bald patches that increase over time. However, incorporating these food items into your diet can prevent hair loss.

Indian Gooseberry

Indian gooseberry or Amla is a great source of Vitamin C that not only helps stimulate hair growth but also prevents hair from greying. Moreover, amla contains tannin and calcium which protects the hair from heat and sun damage. Along with this, the phenolic compounds in it help prevent hair breakage. As a result, eating one whole amla every day for a month can help you see visible results.

Lentils

Lentils are a great source of everything the hair needs. It contains protein, zinc, iron and biotin. As hair follicles are made of protein, it helps strengthen the hair. Moreover, zinc helps repair hair tissues. Iron deficiency is also one of the major reasons for hair loss. Therefore, lentils contribute to the prevention of this. Furthermore, biotin helps with overall hair health.

Sesame Seeds

Sesame seeds are packed with magnesium and calcium that target the scalp and promote healthy hair growth. Moreover, it is rich in omega fatty acids which nourish the hair roots, preventing hair loss.
