International Women’s Day 2026: Something Special Is Happening At Kashi Vishwanath Temple For Women Devotees Tomorrow

Women devotees visiting Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on March 8 will get a special facility for International Women's Day 2026. Free entry and priority darshan have been announced.

International Women’s Day 2026: Women devotees visiting the sacred Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on March 8 will see a special arrangement made just for them. The temple administration has announced a new initiative to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026.

The step aims to make darshan easier and more comfortable for women visiting the famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Every year, thousands of devotees come to this shrine in Varanasi, and officials want women to have a smoother experience on this special day.

The announcement was made through an official order issued by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Special Area Development Board. As per the order, women devotees will be allowed free entry through Gate No. 4-B inside the temple complex.

Temple authorities say the move honours the spirit of womanhood and also recognises the importance of divine feminine energy in Hindu traditions.

International Women’s Day2026: Special Entry For Women Devotees

Under this special arrangement, women devotees will not have to pay any entry fee. They can enter the temple through Gate No. 4-B without buying a ticket. This facility will be open to all women. It does not matter if they are residents of Varanasi or visitors from other parts of the country.

The temple administration hopes the step will encourage more women to visit the shrine and seek blessings on International Women’s Day. Officials have also made special arrangements for mothers carrying small children. Women holding young children in their arms will get priority entry. This includes mothers with both boys and girls.

The administration said this step will help mothers avoid long queues and complete their darshan more comfortably.

Darshan Timings for Local Residents Remain the Same

Even with the special arrangements for women, the existing darshan schedule for local residents of Kashi will remain unchanged.

Two time slots will continue to be reserved for residents:

  • 4:00 am to 5:00 am (Morning)
  • 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Evening)

During these hours, the usual arrangements for local devotees will stay in place. Outside these timings, women devotees can enter through Gate No. 4-B under the special International Women’s Day 2026 facility. The order announcing the initiative was issued on March 6, 2026, by Vishwa Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer of the temple administration.

Along with the announcement, the temple trust also shared greetings for devotees celebrating International Women’s Day. In its message, the trust prayed for the blessings of Lord Shiva and the grace of divine feminine power to guide and protect humanity. The message also wished happiness, prosperity and well-being for all women and for devotees of Sanatan Dharma visiting the temple on this special occasion.
