our exposure and cultivation determine our character. Our parents have a big role to play in moulding our character. However, their influence is also limited, especially in today’s age. In the olden times, grandparents were the character builders but now people rely on Google more. Therefore, parents and grandparents care for you although their influence could be right or wrong. However, in recent years their influence has diminished and people rely on things and people who do not care about them to influence and mould them. Sadhguru says that it can be a very dangerous affair.

Sadhguru on the 4 aspects of life

Sadhguru says that all humans want a pleasant experience. There are 4 aspects of a person, a body, a mind, emotions and energies. Creating surroundings pleasant is not easy and takes a lot of hard work. Although the pleasantness in the surroundings can be disrupted by anyone at any time, pleasantness within you is under your influence and you can keep that intact. It is not character-building but self-improvement. Sadhguru says that the word ‘character’ is not good and is not something that one should strive to be. However, being in an innate state of joy builds self-character and helps us make better decisions. If you are under constant stress, tense and miserable you will not be able to make the right decisions in life.
