Vastu Tips: In a house, a painting creates a vibrant aesthetic to the house. Different types of painting give a different type of vibe, giving the home space more personality. However, looking at a good painting starts conversations and affects the overall vibe of the place. However, according to Vastu Shastra, paintings can do more than that. These reflect the kind of energies that are invoked in the house therefore, to prevent Vastu Dosh or bad luck, a few tips are to be followed.

According to Vastu Shastra, paintings, through their various colours, signs, symbols, shapes, textures and so on, create a certain effect around the house. These factors determine the course of our lives.

There are a few paintings you can add to your house to optimize Vastu power. However, proper rules must be followed before hanging them
Horse
A horse painting is considered auspicious for success and prosperity in life. This brings forth fame and success, therefore, it is also advised to be placed in a workspace. Here are a few things to keep in mind before hanging a horse painting
- The horse painting should always have white horses
- The painting should be on a large canvas.
- The horses should not have a sad or angry face
- If the painting is installed on the east wall of the house, it symbolises career growth and development
- If the painting is installed on the south wall, it symbolises success and fame
- If the painting is installed on the north wall, it symbolises prosperity
- Do not put the painting in places like the bedroom or Puja room. This is considered highly inauspicious.
Buddha
A Buddha painting brings about peace and happiness in a family. Moreover, it resolves quarrels and restores harmony in family dynamics. Here are the things to keep in mind while placing Buddha painting in the house
- The painting should be installed in the east, north, northeast or northwest of the house
- The painting should be placed exactly opposite to the entrance door of the house or the room
- The painting should not be placed below the ground levels like in basements
- The pose of the Buddha in the painting should be a meditating pose
- You can also put a Buddha painting in the office or study room of the house.
Mandala
A mandala painting can bring wholeness and balance to the house by harnessing the energy of the home space. Here are the things to keep in mind while placing mandala painting
- Mandala painting can be put in the southwestern part of the house. This brings love and happiness
- Mandala paintings put in the northeastern part of the house bring wealth and prosperity.
- The area surrounding the Mandala painting should be kept clean and clutter-free
When put in the right way, these paintings can lead to the constant flow of positive energies in the house.
