Nutritionist Sumeet Kharb, founder of Indian Weight Loss Diet, has shared a step-by-step guide aimed at brides and grooms-to-be who want to get in shape before the big day. He says, “Sau dino ke baad shaadi aapki. Badhiya apni wedding dress mein aana hai? To bhai, ek sau din mein tees kilo kaise kam hoga, uska step-by-step formula de raha hoon.”

Cut All Carbs First: According to Kharb, the first step is to completely eliminate carbohydrates from your diet. This means no grains, no lentils, no fruits, and absolutely no sugar. “Agar carbs nahi chhode, to tees kilo kam hona mushkil hai,” he warns.
Focus on Protein and Real Hunger: The second step is to eat high-quality protein to understand real hunger. Kharb makes it clear that this plan isn’t for vegans. Vegetarians can go for dairy products like milk, curd, paneer, butter, and also add green vegetables. Non-vegetarians can include any kind of meat and eggs in their diet.
Cook Right or Fail: Step three is about cooking methods. All meals should be cooked only in desi ghee, butter, or coconut oil. Other oils are strictly off-limits. And eating out? Only if it’s cooked in the approved oils.
Hydration is Key: The final key step is to drink 4 litres of water daily. “Shaadi hai bhai, glow chahiye na?” Kharb says, stressing the importance of hydration during this intense plan.
