A Coach of Dehradun-Delhi Shatabdi Express coming from Delhi catches fire

A coach of Shatabdi train coming from Delhi to Dehradun caught fire. The cause of the fire is being described as a short circuit. It is a matter of relief that no one was hurt in this incident. There was a fire in the eighth coach from the engine. After the fire, this coach was separated from the train. After this, the fire brigade was called. According to the information given by the guard, no one has been injured in this incident.

The loco pilot applied the emergency brake before the fire started and stopped the train in the middle of the forest and immediately the coach was evacuated. With this, the coach was separated from the train and the other coaches were saved safely. All passengers aboard this coach C-5 are safe. All its passengers were shifted to another coach, after which the train left for Dehradun. After the incident, ambulances were sent outside Dehradun railway station. Health workers and police were also posted at the station.

The official said that the affected coaches were separated. The guard of the train said that all the passengers were safe and the fire brigade was called. “A total of 35 passengers of the coach were shifted and adjusted to other coaches,” he said. The official said that after some time, the train left for the onward journey with the passengers of the C-5 coach.
