Aaditya targets Shinde govt, here’s what he said

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aditya Thackeray has once again besieged the Shinde-Fadnavis government over three-four big industrial projects including Vedanta-Foxconn going to Gujarat and other states instead of Maharashtra. He has challenged CM Eknath Shinde for an open debate on this issue on TV. Aditya Thackeray had organized a press conference on this matter yesterday and today has also presented some evidence in this regard by tweeting. BJP has responded to his allegations.

Aditya Thackeray alleges that Devendra Fadnavis had his last meeting with Vedanta officials on August 29, after which the Vedanta-Foxconn project moved to Gujarat. Was this meeting to bring this project to Maharashtra or to send it to Gujarat? Aditya Thackeray asks whether the information about what happened in this meeting was given to CM Eknath Shinde, who became Chief Minister in an unconstitutional and illegal manner or not?

Fadnavis met Vedanta officials, the project went to Gujarat, did CM Shinde know?

Aditya Thackeray shows evidence and asks Shinde faction and BJP leaders who claim that, ‘You say that the Vedanta-Foxconn project was not going to come to Maharashtra. But in this letter, his team is requesting to sign an MoU on September 5, 2022 to set up the project in Maharashtra and is seeking time for it. After this, in his second tweet, Aditya Thackeray gives evidence and says that what happened in the personal meeting with Devendra Fadnavis? Did the unconstitutional Chief Minister even know about this meeting?

Aditya Thackeray has given an open challenge to CM Eknath Shinde for a TV debate on this issue. Aditya Thackeray blames the Shinde Fadnavis government for not only Vedanta but also big projects like Medical Device Park, Bulk Drugs Park, Renewable Energy going to other states.

Aditya is telling lies, not on TV, will expose them in assembly: BJP

Responding to Aditya’s challenge, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule told the media today that Vedanta has gone because of the failure of the Thackeray government. In the government of two and a half years, Uddhav did not go to the ministry for 18 months. No meeting was held regarding the project, no GR was signed, no MoU was signed and no land was allotted to the company. The company was constantly being requested for this, but the Mahavikas Aghadi government kept sitting idly by. Regarding Fadnavis’ meeting, Bawankule said that no such meeting took place.

Cultural Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said that Aditya should conduct the debate in the upcoming assembly session. If they have such strong evidence, then put it on the table of the House, it will be known how right they are. If they are proved wrong, without fevicol, their mouth will be stitched. BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar tweeted on the issue of TV debate challenge and said that Aditya Thackeray is seeing the Chief Minister empty and without work like himself? If they want to discuss, then the former Chief Minister is sitting at home without work, discuss with him.
