Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in France for a two-day diplomatic visit (February 10-12), focusing on advancing technology, trade, defense, and clean energy collaborations. Co-Hosting AI Action Summit in Paris
A major highlight of the visit is PM Modi’s role as a co-chair at the AI Action Summit, where he will engage with global tech CEOs and world leaders to promote an inclusive, secure, and responsible AI ecosystem. The discussions will revolve around India’s growing role in AI-driven innovation and digital transformation.
Additionally, PM Modi will review the 2047 Horizon Roadmap with French President Emmanuel Macron, setting long-term strategic goals for India-France relations across multiple sectors.
Key Engagements in Marseille
As part of his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the first Indian Consulate in France, enhancing diplomatic ties and providing better support to the Indian diaspora.
He will also tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), a cutting-edge multinational project for clean and sustainable nuclear energy, reinforcing India’s commitment to global energy solutions.
To honor Indian soldiers who fought in World Wars I and II, PM Modi will visit the Mazargues War Cemetery, paying tribute to their sacrifices.
Next Stop: The United States
After concluding his engagements in France, PM Modi will travel to the United States from February 12-14, where he is set to meet President Donald Trump in their first official interaction since Trump’s re-election. PM Modi is among a select group of leaders invited to the White House within the first month of Trump’s second term.
Notably, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu will be the first foreign leader to meet Trump, ahead of Modi’s visit.
