Air India crew look: No to crew cut for males, females asked to avoid big earrings

Air India has issued a new grooming guideline for its crew members. Major changes are being made from the dressing style to the fashion statement of the female and male cabin crew members. Major changes are being made in Air India since the acquisition of Tata Group. Changes in the grooming guidelines for cabin crew are also being linked to this.

After this decision of Tata Group, the crew members of Air India will be seen in a new avatar. Air India has issued a 40-page circular, in which everything from dress code to fashion sense has been discussed.

The company has made many important changes from attendance to uniform. Some special changes have also been made for the pilot group.

The use of hair gel has been made mandatory in the guidelines issued for male crew members. Crew members of Air India who have less hair, they will have to shave their hair, which means that even baldness has ended the requirement of not getting entry in the cabin-crew. Although he will have to shave his head every day.

What is the special guideline for women

Women crew members will also not be able to dye their hair in different fashionable colors. There is a ban on applying fashion color and henna.

Here is the guideline on jewelery for men

Men will only be able to wear wedding band design ring. Sikhs can wear only one bracelet, which should not be more than 0.5 cm thick. It can be of gold or silver but there should not be any design on it.

Guidelines for tall women

This list is very long for women. In this, a detailed guideline has been issued regarding jewellery, hair, make-up, nails, dress. Eyeshadow, lipstick, nail paint and hair shade cards have to be included according to the uniform only.

The use of foundation and concealer has been made mandatory. Matching nail polish with the uniform is allowed to be applied on the fingers. The nail paint colors from the shade card should be matched with the uniform. Red and coral for red uniform, pink and nude with blue uniform, pearl white and French manicure can be colored on all types of uniforms. Air India has also allowed the use of gel nail polish and French manicure, provided that they are properly designed.

What is the guideline on bindi and bangle?

Female cabin crew members have been told not to wear long earrings. The dot should not be bigger than 0.5 cm. Have a plain bangle. Do not use top knot to tie hair. Women have to keep the quantity of bangles less. Flight attendants can wear gold or silver earrings without designs. Only medium sized bobby pins can be used. Pins must be of the same size. Short open hairs will have to be blow dry or permanent smoothening.
