Amit Shah: TMC cheated people on Amphan Relief Fund sent by center

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has targeted TMC yet again over the Amphan Relief Funds mislead. He alleged TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee without taking his name, he said TMC siphoned off money from Cyclone Amphan relief fund.

Addressing a public rally in Gosaba in the South 24 Parganas district, which was one of the worst-affected areas by the cyclone, the Home Minister said the state got nothing out of PM Modi’s Rs. 10,000 crore relief fund.

“In the aftermath of Cyclone Amphan, the Narendra Modi government had sanctioned relief fund for people affected in cyclone Amphan. But Bhatija (nephew) and company siphoned off the money. Once a BJP government is formed here, it will form a Special Investigation Team to conduct an inquiry into the siphoning of funds and take action against the accused,” he said.

The Union Home Minister has reiterated that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee “busy trying to make her nephew the Chief Minister for the upcoming years while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was pushing for the development of Bengal.”

Home Minister also claimed that the TMC government had not been able to fulfill even 82 promises out of 282 promises laid by them in the previous election manifesto.
