Amit Shah’s Bold Assertion! ‘We Stand with Mother Power’ Amid Prajwal Revanna Video Controversy

Learn more about the position taken by Home Minister Amit Shah on the "obscene video related to Prajwal Revanna" case.

Prajwal Revanna

Prajwal Revanna: The purported genuine video case of Prajwal Revanna, a current MP and candidate for the Hassan seat, has sparked a political firestorm. Let us inform you that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, JDS is running with the NDA alliance this time. On this issue, the Congress now appears to be criticizing the BJP and JDS.

Karnataka Government’s Response

In addition, the Karnataka government’s Siddaramaiah administration formed a SIT to look into the situation. Regarding the ‘obscene video’ matter involving JDS MP Prajwal Revanna, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has written a letter to the Karnataka DGP. We would like to inform you that Amit Shah, the Home Minister, has also responded strongly to this.

Home Minister Questions Congress’s Response to Revanna Case

On the ‘obscene video’ issue related to MP Prajwal Revanna, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “BJP’s stand is clear that we stand with the ‘mother power’ of the country. I want to ask Congress whose government is there? The government is of Congress party.”

He added that, “Why hasn’t he taken any action yet? We do not have to take action on this because it is a matter of law and order of the state, the state government has to take action on it. We are in favor of investigation and our ally JD(S) has also announced to take action against it, today is their core committee meeting and necessary steps will be taken”.

Karnataka BJP President’s Response

Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa said, “BJP’s stand is clear. No political party can support this case and the state government (current Karnataka Congress government) has already constituted SIT, so the investigation will continue. Neither BJP nor JD(S) is supporting this matter. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has clearly said that it is up to the current state government to take this investigation forward. JD(S) party is also taking a clear stand and they are going to expel Prajwal Revanna”.
