Arvind Kejriwal Celebrates Dusshera at Red Fort with Fun and Fervour; Watch Video

Arvind Kejriwal: The Chief Minister of Delhi, spoke about how “Lord Ram surrendered his leadership and authority and fought Ravana” while celebrating Dussehra on Wednesday at the Red Fort grounds.

At the Ramlila ceremony held at Red Fort by the oldest Luv Kush Ramlila group, Kejriwal was invited as the principal guest along with President Droupadi Murmu and actor Prabhas from the Bahubali series. The president was unable to join in the festivities.
Kejriwal addressed the audience after playing “Ravan Dahan” and wished everyone a very happy Dussehra. “I pray that Lord Ram would grant all of your requests and grant you good health, pleasure, and riches. I’m overjoyed to see so many folks here,” he said.

This is significant because, through Ramlila, we may both identify with our culture and learn a lesson from Lord Ram’s life about how to sacrifice power and authority in order to fight Ravana.

He claimed that every day as a child, he and his parents would visit Ramlila. Ram’s teachings help us become excellent people. Despite the availability of television and mobile devices today, I urge you to go watch Ramlila in person at the grounds. Lord Ram led a life of self-sacrifice, and even though the people supported him, he could have become a king but he left his empire and went into exile for 14 years at the urging of his parents.

“We can all work together to make India the best and most powerful country in the world,” he continued.

Who else were present at the event:

Along with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and Former President Ramnath Kovind, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena also took part in the Ramadan festivities sponsored by the Dharmik Ram Lila Committee. “May Bhagwan Shri Ram’s beliefs serve as our lifelong compass! May goodness and truth always win out,” Saxena wrote in a tweet.
After a two-year hiatus caused by the Covid pandemic and limitations, the 10-day festival was organized this year on a major scale with the participation of various political leaders.
