Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has quarantined himself after his wife Sunita Kejriwal. Last year, around June Kejriwal had reported to have COVID symptoms, but later he was tested negative for coronavirus.
The Chief Minister was suffering from fever for a past few days and he went into self-isolation in an anticipation of getting contracted the virus.
Meanwhile, the 6 days lockdown in the national capital has started from 10 PM yesterday and will continue till 5 AM on April 26.
"The lockdown in Delhi has started today. This decision has been taken in view of your health and safety. Kindly cooperate with the government and stay home to keep safe from the infection," Kejriwal tweeted.
The nation reported more than 2 lakh 59 thousand new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, while Delhi reported 23,686 daily cases, the total case tally in the national capital has now jumped to 8,77,146 with a 26.12 percent positivity rate.
