Atleast 6 Killed, 20 Injured In Road Accident In Rajasthan's Pali

After two heavyweight vehicle collided with one another late on Friday night in Sumerpur, Rajasthan's Pali region, at least six persons were killed and more than two-dozen suffered injuries.

The pilgrims were returning from Jaisalmer’s Ramdevra, where a temple of folk deity Baba Ramdev is located. The injured were immediately sent to hospitals in the towns of Shivpur and Sumerpur.

The Prime Minister’s Office in a tweet said PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident.

“The accident in Pali, Rajasthan is saddening. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I pray for a speedy recovery of those injured,” the PM said.

"Anguished by the loss of lives in a road accident in Pali, Rajasthan. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the Vice President's office tweeted, quoting VP Dhankhar.
