Attempt To Poach 4 MLAs From KCR’s Party are being made: Telangana Police

According to the Telangana police, attempts are being made to poach the MLAs of the state’s ruling party, and three people were detained from a farmhouse while trying to make a deal.

According to Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs who had tipped off the police, four of their members were the targets, police chief Stephen Raveendra revealed in an exclusive interview with NDTV.

According to sources, the deals could be worth up to Rs. 100 crores. According to a source, they promised the main individual in this case Rs. 100 crores in addition to Rs. 50 crore for each MLA.

According to the police, a search was done this evening at the farmhouse in Aziz Nagar. When the MLAs reported being “lured and bribed to swap parties,” they phoned the police.

The detained individuals have identified themselves, according to the police, as Satish Sharma, alias Ram Chandra Bharati, a priest from Faridabad, Haryana; D Simhayaji, a seer from Tirupathi; and Nandakumar, a businessman.

The complainant has been identified as Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy, at whose farmhouse the agreement was negotiated. The Chief Minister’s official residence, Pragathi Bhavan, was the destination for the four MLAs.

In Telangana, another southern state where the BJP has struggled to establish a foothold, there have been reports that the party was aiming to launch “Operation Lotus” since 2019.

The BJP-backed insurrection led by Eknath Shinde, which led to the overthrow of the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra earlier this year, has given rise to the charges.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party recently asserted that the BJP was attempting to steal its MLAs in Punjab and Delhi.

There were speculations that 18 TRS MLAs will join the BJP shortly in August, according to a BJP leader.

DK Aruna and D Arvind, two Telangana BJP leaders, said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his party orchestrated the “horse-trade scandal” to divert attention away from Munugode.

“This is a drama. KCR recognized the TRS’s defeat in Munugode. They, therefore planned this drama “Vivek Venkataswamy, a BJP leader, stated.
