Balck Fungus declared as 'epidemic in Delhi

The Aam Aadmi Party-led government in Delhi has declared Black Fungus as an 'epidemic' under Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.

Delhi has seen a sudden spike in the cases of Black Fungus in the last week. As of May 21, there were nearly 200 cases of mucormycosis and on May 26 there were 620 confirmed cases.

Most of the states had already declared it as an epidemic and the national capital doing the same has created a buzz of in the entire nation.
