Be informative on National cancer awareness day

National Cancer Awareness Day is observed every year on 7 November in India to spread awareness about cancer symptoms and treatment. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the second-deadliest disease globally, leading to death. In 2018, there were around 18 million cases globally, of which 1.5 million were in India alone. In 2018, there were approximately 0.8 million cancer deaths in India, out of a total of 9.5 million deaths globally.

This day was first observed in 2014 after the announcement by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister. The day marks the birth anniversary of the scientist Marie Skłodowska Curie, winner of the 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics.

Experts believe that cancer is not incurable, just need to know it at the right time and the right treatment. It may be an incurable disease for a common man, but its expensive treatment makes it feasible for rich people. It is very bad for the society that even diseases like cancer see the difference between rich and poor.

According to the report, similar symptoms can be seen in both men and women when they get cancer. A person dies of hunger in depression or flu. Cancer can do this by affecting your metabolism. In the stomach, pancreas, large intestine or ovarian cancer, stomach pressure is felt, due to which you do not feel hungry.

Experts say if you want to avoid cancer, do not ignore its symptoms. If you see any change in the body, then seek medical advice.
