Bharat Jodo Yatra: Digvijaya Singh Anticipates a New Avatar of Rahul Gandhi After Bharat Jodo Yatra

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Digvijaya Singh, a senior party official, stated on Sunday that Rahul Gandhi has evolved into a representation of “Bharat jodo” (unite India) and will take on a new persona following the Congress’ pan-India march.
In an interview with PTI, Singh, who has been a part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra since it began in Kanyakumari, said that the march has unquestionably had a positive effect on the Congress because it is the first time in many years that the grand old party is being discussed in rural communities and villages, and people are very impressed that Rahul Gandhi is walking the entire route.
He noted that the Congress at the moment lacks the dedication to philosophy and leadership, but added that the yatra will help the party be stronger.

The yatra, which started in Kanyakumari and will end in Jammu and Kashmir, is being led by Rahul Gandhi. During the march, a number of Congress leaders will walk 3,500 miles.

“Anyone who makes a “tyag” (sacrifice) in this nation is always respected. Sonia Gandhi performed a “tyag” of the position of prime minister. Rahul Gandhi is currently battling various forms of false information and defamation while walking, perspiring in the heat, and standing in the rain. He has emerged as the face of Bharat jodo “stated the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.
When asked how Rahul had benefited from the Yatra, Singh responded, “Well, you shall see him today in his new avatar.”

He claimed that because he has known Rahul for a long time, nothing can stop him from accomplishing his goals once he makes a decision to do so.

On Rahul’s political future, he said, “No one would be able to stop him the day he decides.”

To be quite honest, I’ve always thought of him as a person who is extremely committed to their beliefs and has a highly inquiring mind.

The moment he doesn’t have his answers, he won’t let you go. He is also a very effective leader and spiritual,” the seasoned Congress leader added.

Singh, who withdrew from the election for the position of Congress president and was named Mallikarjun Kharge’s proposer, said the Congress is “very bad” as an organisation compared to the cadre-based Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Congress is a part of a larger movement, and previous movements have produced new leaders.

He added that individuals who are participating in the march have left their homes and are demonstrating their dedication, saying, “Obviously, new leadership will emerge from the party.”

On October 17, candidates will run for the position of Congress president, and the results will be made public on October 19.

The veteran congressman also talked extensively on the party’s flaws and efforts to fix them.

He lamented that this party lacks philosophy and leadership commitment and that it also sends conflicting messages.

“The Congress party’s tendency to operate in isolation is one of its biggest problems. At the cutting edge, which is the grassroots on the ground level, there is no horizontal integration of all Congressmen. In this yatra, we have tried it. This is the format we’re working on “said he.

Speaking of the yatra, he stated that the frontal bodies and cells of the party have also nominated coordinators for each state and district, which would improve the organisational structure at the local level.

Party officials, according to him, have been given clear responsibilities to do, visit a lot of homes, and offer comments.

He added that the fact that the media is now paying attention to us is the yatra’s greatest success and that Congress employees are now out of their homes and on the streets and highways.

Singh also criticised some Congress politicians, claiming that some of them are specialists in Indian politics yet have never left their Delhi homes.

The party veteran, who has long held a significant position inside the organisation, expressed his amusement at the BJP’s criticism and response.

When asked what advise he would give to those who were critical of Rahul Gandhi and the party, he replied, “Take a stroll.”

When asked if this yatra will produce a new Digvijaya Singh, Singh responded that he would continue to be a modest, down-to-earth Congressman.

He claimed that whether he is in a position or not, he travels the streets and battles them, citing seven defamation cases brought against him.
