BJP slams congress over posters showing Robert Vadra with Gandhis

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s husband and businessman Robert Vadra is again embroiled in controversies. Businessman Robert Vadra shared the poster of Congress Party’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ with his Twitter handle. BJP leaders have reacted to his tweet. Former Union Minister of BJP Ravi Shankar Prasad while talking to the media said that it is quite amusing that Robert Vadra is joining the Yatra. At the same time, he asked whether now Robert Vadra will claim to speak against corruption?

How did the controversy start?

In the tweet of Robert Vadra, the picture of Robert Vadra with his wife and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi along with the main faces of Congress Rahul Gandhi, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and former PM Rajiv Gandhi were put on the poster. Robert Vadra has already been accused of being a beneficiary of nepotism and corruption in the Congress, although he has said that he has been unfairly attacked because of his family ties.

He has been putting out social media posts supporting the Congress in the past too, but this is being seen as a pitch to stand with the Gandhi family on the political platform.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will start the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ or Unite India March from Kanyakumari today. This 3,500 km journey will be completed in about 150 days. MP Rahul Gandhi will walk from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, where the journey will end. According to information received from sources, he will be staying in a shipping container which has a bed, toilet and an air conditioner. Such containers have also been arranged for other ‘Bharat Yatris’ who will walk the entire route with Rahul Gandhi.
