BJP-vs-AAP Over Delhi Garbage Dump

Before the municipal elections, there is a political ruckus in the capital over garbage. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are face to face. According to news agency ANI, BJP workers had gathered at the Ghazipur landfill on Thursday. Slogans were raised against the AAP government and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. After sometime AAP workers also reached there and started raising slogans against BJP. Meanwhile, people from both the parties clashed. All this happened in the presence of Delhi Police. The people of both the parties were separated after persuasion. Police force is present on the spot.

AAP leader Durgesh Pathak claimed on Wednesday that fearing defeat in the upcoming municipal elections, BJP has threatened its workers that if anyone even mentions the name of the garbage during the elections, he will be expelled from the party. Pathak claimed that the BJP had held a meeting on Tuesday regarding the preparations for the MCD elections. The threat was made in the same meeting. Pathak said that the Aam Aadmi Party is constantly seeking answers from the BJP on the issue of garbage. BJP fears that AAP would like to discuss this issue even during elections and along with Delhiites will also ask questions on garbage. To avoid the same, BJP leaders have been asked not to even name the garbage during elections.

The CM said that ‘BJP itself is ashamed of its work. I was coming here, so they were not allowed to come. Did school well in 5 years. We will not oppose. We are not ashamed. You guys are ashamed to show your work. Police were deployed to protect the mountain of garbage. Some had come in the last days, so they were driven away. This is the mountain of their misdeeds. There is a mountain of corruption. The challenge to BJP is to tell one work in 15 years that MCD has done. Couldn’t tell one thing.’

The people of Delhi have also made up their mind to give us the responsibility of cleanliness: CM

MCD elections are expected to be held in Delhi soon. The Aam Aadmi Party is confident that it will win this election and end the 15 years of BJP rule in the corporation. CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that the people of Delhi know very well how we have fixed the schools and hospitals of Delhi in the last 7 years. Now the public has made up its mind to give us the responsibility of improving the cleanliness of Delhi.

In a press conference on Wednesday, in response to the questions asked about the MCD elections, National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that we are fully prepared for the MCD elections. These people (BJP) made a lot of efforts to postpone the elections.

Wrongly delimited for his own benefit. They can do whatever they want, but the people of Delhi are going to reject them.

BJP constituted management committees for MCD elections
According to Delhi BJP state president Adesh Gupta, the party has announced election management committees regarding the corporation elections. Gupta said that elections will be held and the Bharatiya Janata Party is fully prepared for it.

Responding to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement of a garbage free Delhi, Adesh Gupta said that Kejriwal’s people say a lot to hide their failure, but the way the corporation has worked well in the past, waste management, no such work has been done in the history till datewhich the corporation has done. The Kejriwal government should tell what help they have given to the corporation.
