‘There will be no Matric Exam from now’

The Chief Minister said that from now onwards there will be no examination called Matriculation exam. Our focus will be on a pass or fail system within the school. This decision has been taken so that the students can begin their studies for class 11 and 12 right after class 10th. The CM also said that the class 10 exam will no longer be called as the Matric exam but they will be conducted by the schools or academic councils at the district level. Through this merger the organizational process is expected to run smoothly. The merger also aims for a more connected approach towards the secondary and Higher Secondary education in the state.
