In a solemn event, BSP Chief Mayawati and the party’s National Coordinator, Akash Anand, paid their last respects to Tamil Nadu BSP President K Armstrong, who was brutally murdered near his home in Perambur on July 5.

Call for CBI Investigation

On Sunday, BSP supremo Mayawati demanded a CBI investigation into the tragic death of K Armstrong, asserting that those arrested so far are not the actual culprits. She urged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin to transfer the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation to ensure justice for Armstrong.

Concerns Over Law and Order

Mayawati expressed deep anguish over the manner of Armstrong’s killing, which took place late in the evening. She criticized the state’s law and order situation, stating, “The way he was killed shows there is nothing called law and order in Tamil Nadu. The real culprits have not been nabbed.”

Urgent Plea for Justice

Emphasising the need for a fair investigation, Mayawati insisted that the case be handed over to the CBI. “We are not hopeful that the state government will ensure justice. So, refer the matter to CBI immediately,” she demanded.

Safety of Dalits

Mayawati also highlighted the anxiety among Dalits in Tamil Nadu following Armstrong’s murder. She urged CM Stalin to ensure their safety and called on BSP workers to remain calm and not take the law into their own hands.
