BSP chief Mayawati lost her mother, Ramrati, 92, to prolonged illness on Saturday afternoon. Her cremation is scheduled to take place in Delhi on Sunday.
Mayawati’s father Prabhu Dayal passed away almost a year back on November 19, at the age of 95 years.
BSP supremo Mayawati’s mother’s death was informed by BSP’s national general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra. He tweeted and said, “It is with great sadness to inform that the National President of BSP, former MP and former Chief Minister of UP Shrimati Ramrati, the revered mother of Mayawati ji, has passed away today at the age of 92 due to cardiac arrest in the hospital. May nature give strength to all to bear this sorrow. His last rites will be performed tomorrow when Mayawati reaches Delhi and the family gathers.”

Mayawati left for Delhi soon after getting information about the death of her mother, the release said. The last rites will be performed in Delhi on Sunday, it said.
BSP leaders and workers offered condolences on the death of the party president’s mother any prayed for peace to the soul.
