By-election 2022: Voting has Begun; BJP is Leading in 3 Seats while TRS is Leading in Munugode.

By-election 2022: Seven constituencies that had byelections on November 3 are currently having their votes counted.

According to early statistics for the Adampur constituency, Bhavya Bishnoi of the Bharatiya Janata Party is ahead with 10,778 votes in Haryana, while Jai Prakash of the Congress is in second place with 8800 votes.

With a 75.25 percent voter participation, the Adampur seat in Haryana saw a race between the BJP, Congress, Indian National Lok Dal, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

After Kuldeep Bishnoi, the son of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, resigned as MLA from the constituency and defected from the Congress to the BJP in August, a by-election had to be held in Adampur. Bhavya Bishnoi, a BJP candidate, ran in the by-election.

While the INLD chose Congress rebel Kurda Ram Nambardar as its candidate, the Congress fielded former Union Minister Jai Prakash. The candidate for AAP was Satender Singh.

Notably, the Adampur seat is regarded as a Bishnoi stronghold.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is currently in the lead in both of the assembly districts, Mokama and Gopalganj, according to recent statistics.

Neelam Devi of the RJD is in the lead for the Mokama assembly seat in Bihar with 35,036 votes, while Mohan Prasad Gupta is in the lead for the Gopalganj assembly seat with 6,314 votes.

This was Bihar’s first significant election following Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s break with the BJP and alliance with the RJD and Congress to create a Grand Alliance administration.

In Bihar, the main conflict is between the BJP and the RJD.
The RJD’s Neelam Devi, whose husband Anant Singh’s disqualification made the by-election necessary, will face Sonam Devi in the Mokama by-elections.

Notably, Mokama is regarded to be Anant Singh’s stronghold since 2005. On two JD(U) tickets, he twice won the seat.

According to early statistics, BJP candidate Aman Giri is now ahead of SP candidate Vinay Tiwari with 49,142 votes so far on the Gola Gokrannath assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh.

For this, the Samajwadi Party (SP) nominated former MLA Vinay Tiwari while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fielded Aman Giri.

Rutuja Latke, a Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) candidate, is currently in the lead in the Andheri East by-election, which was held on November 3.

Rutuja Latke is the spouse of Ramesh Latke, a sitting Sena MLA, whose passing in May prompted the election.

This was the first election following Eknath Shinde and 39 other Shiv Sena lawmakers’ revolt, which caused the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration, which was led by Uddhav Thackeray, to fall.

Rutuja Latke’s candidacy has received support from both the NCP and the Congress.
Suryabanshi Suraj of the BJP is now in the lead with 8,737 votes in Dhamnagar, Odisha, where 66.63% of eligible voters turned out for the byelection for the Dhamnagar Assembly constituency.

Abanti Das of the BJD received 7,358 votes.

Abanti Das, a candidate for the incumbent BJD, and Suryabanshi Suraj Sthitaprajana, a candidate for the BJP and the son of Bishnu Sethi, a BJP MLA whose death caused the assembly seat to become vacant, appear to be in a tight race in Odisha’s Dhamnagar by-election.

With 6,412 votes, Kooskuntla Prabhakar Reddy of the TRS is now in the lead for the Munugode seat, while Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy of the BJP is in second place with 5,126 votes.

In Munugode, both the BJP and the incumbent TRS ran active campaigns.

According to election commission figures, Telangana’s Munugode constituency had the highest voter participation on Thursday among the six states that staged Assembly by-elections, with 77.5 percent of eligible voters casting ballots.
