CBI court to announce Babri Masjid verdict on September 30

The special CBI court will announce the verdict much-awaited Babri Masjid Demolition case on September 30. In total 32 people are accused of the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case. The list also includes BJP veterans LK Advani, MM Joshi, Uma Bharti, and Vinay Kumar.

CBI court also ordered all the 32 accused to mark their physical presence on the verdict day.

For this high profile case, the apex court had earlier fixed August 31st as the deadline for completion of this report filed by Justice SK Yadav.

“Having read the report of Surendra Kumar Yadav, learned special judge, and considering that the proceedings are at the fag end, we grant one month’s time, i.e., till September 30, 2020, to complete the proceedings including the delivery of the judgment,” said the bench of three justices RF Nariman, Navin Sinha and Indira Banerjee.

Last year when the Supreme Court announced the verdict of the Ram Mandir case then it also mentioned that the demolition of Babri Masjid was a criminal act. This final verdict on the Babri Masjid case would end the series of speculation in the three-decades-long case.
