Chaitra Navratri 2023: March 25 marks the fourth day of the auspicious occasion of Navratri. It is a day dedicated to worshipping Maa Kushmanda, who is believed to be the fourth form of Maa Durga. The form of Maa Kushmanda is said to be the most resplendent and luminous among all the forms of Maa Durga. She is believed to radiate as brilliantly as the sun. According to Hindu mythology, when darkness engulfed the universe, Maa Kushmanda used her smile to create it. By worshipping Maa Kushmanda, one can attain wisdom and develop the power to make better decisions in life.

This form of Maa Durga is also considered to be very helpful in taking her devotees to great economic heights. It is believed that those who are suffering from a prolonged illness can benefit from the rituals of Goddess Kushmanda, as she blesses them with good health.

Pooja Method

To worship Maa Kushmanda on this day, one must wake up early in the morning, bathe, and then offer water and flowers to the deity. During the puja, devotees must offer flowers, incense, bhog, and their heartfelt devotion to the goddess. After the puja, Malpua is offered to Maa Kushmanda, and the prasad is distributed among the devotees. It is also essential to seek blessings from the elders before partaking in the prasad.
