All around the nation, Chhath Puja is celebrated with great fanfare each year. mostly observed in some regions of Nepal as well as the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Devotees fast and offer prayers to the sun god throughout this period.

On the third day of Chhath Puja, the morning is devoted to gathering and preparing offerings. The vratti and the family then go to a neighbouring river or pond in the evening to offer prayers to the setting sun. Offering flowers, fruits, and candies as well as their prayers to Surya Dev, devotees stand waist deep in water.
