CISF Sub Inspector killed, two others injured in Jammu terrorist attack

An Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was killed and two others injured, on Friday, after a bus carrying security personnel was attacked by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on early morning.

A CISF official said that a bus carrying 15 CISF personnel on duty in the morning shift was attacked by terrorists near Chadha camp in Jammu at around 4.15 am. The CISF retaliated to the terrorist attack and forced the terrorists to flee.

So far 2 terrorists have been killed and 2 weapons have been recovered in the action taken by the security forces. Let us tell you that Sujwan Army Camp is the main station of the army, Chadha Camp was only one km away from there. The distance from Chadha Camp to Pally village, the venue of PM Modi's event, is about 20 km.

A senior CISF officer informed ANI on anonymity that a bus carrying 15 CISF personnel going for morning shift duties was attacked by the terrorists at about 4.25 am hours near Chaddha Camp in Jammu.

"CISF averted the terrorist attack by retaliating effectively to the attack and forced the terrorists to run away, averting a major loss. In the line of action, one ASI of CISF has lost his life and two others are injured," he said.

The attack comes ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Jammu visit. The security forces were conducting a search operation before PM Modi's visit to Jammu. During this, the terrorists attacked the bus with a grenade. Let us inform that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu after two days i.e. on April 24. Earlier, the entire area has been put on high alert. Along with this, search operation is going on in many places in Jammu.
