CM Yogi Adityanath: Nitin Nabin has been elected unopposed as the 13th President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the appointment of Nabin and said the new BJP Chief would shine under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The appointment of Nabin is seen by many in the political circles as preparations for the upcoming state elections in Assam, Kerala, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The party wants to increase its vote base and conquer the state elections so it enjoys a clear majority in both houses of the Indian Parliament.
A four-time MLA, Nabin is best known for the exemplary performance of BJP when he was election in-charge for Chhattisgarh. Known for his troubleshooting capabilities and organizational expertise, Nitin Nabin took the charge as the new BJP President today. The appointment of Nabin is also seen as the party’s strategy to reach out to Gen Z demographics and empower young leadership across India.
PM Modi welcomed the appointment of Nabin as the party’s national president and remarked that Nabin is also his President.
Yogi Adityanath praised the working style of Nabin. On Tuesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari greeted Nabin on his appointment. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Tripura CM Manik Saha, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and many other prominent BJP leaders also congratulated Nabin.

In his first speech after becoming the BJP National President remarked that BJP would now act against the atrocities committed by opposition parties that are anti-Hindu.
Referring to stoppage of the sacred Karthigai Deepam festival on a hill in Tamil Nadu, Nabin said there have been multiple instances like this and these repeated conspiracies are nothing but a deliberate attempt to stop and attack our Hindu traditions. Nabin added that the opposition parties have gone so low that they tried to impeach a sitting High Court Judge when the judgement did not went their way.
