Coimbatore Car Blast Case

The vehicle cylinder bomb that killed Jamesa Mubeen on Sunday, October 23, was transformed from an accident investigation into a suspected terror plot after shrapnel-like nails and marbles were discovered at the blast site.

Based on CCTV footage from near Mubeen’s residence, Coimbatore police detained Azharuddin, Feroz, Nawaz, and Riyaz on Tuesday. Mohammed Dalqa was quickly apprehended because the Maruti 800 used in the explosion was supplied to Mubin by Dalqa, a second-hand vehicle and junk trader.

Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai Blames Police for Coimbatore Blast:

Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai stated on Sunday that the state director general of police and an intelligence officer must bear responsibility for the Coimbatore bomb, claiming that the police failed to track down the victim, who he claimed was an ISIS sympathiser.

Annamalai questioned why the Tamil Nadu police did not place Mubin under surveillance despite receiving information from a special unit as early as July of this year. He stated that Mubin was on a list of 96 names released by a special police unit. “Mubin’s name appeared as the 89th individual on the list, and there was sufficient information to prove that he was radicalised towards ISIS philosophy.” “However, despite the fact that the information was provided in July, no action was taken by the police,” the BJP leader claimed.
