Congress: Mallikarjun Kharge to Take Over as Congress President at a Ceremony in Presence of Rahul Gandhi

Congress: Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, will travel to Delhi on October 26 to take part in a function where Mallikarjun Kharge, the newly elected president of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), would preside.

Rahul Gandhi will depart the Bharat Jodo Yatra for the first time since it started on September 8 at this time. On October 27, the Yatra will visit Telangana, the sixth state through which the rally will travel.
A certificate of election will be given to Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the Congress, during the event.

Kharge, 80, became the first non-Gandhi Congress chief in 24 years after defeating Shashi Tharoor by a margin of more than 6,000 votes.
