The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to continue the corona curfew further till May 31.

This information has been given by the Chief Minister's Office. CMO said- Corona curfew imposed in Andhra Pradesh is being extended by the end of this month.

According to the announcement by the CMO, the Corona curfew lockdown will now be applicable till May 31 in Andhra Pradesh. In the wake of increasing cases of Corona virus infection pandemic in Andhra Pradesh, it was planned from May 5 to May 18. Which has now been extended.

However, the government has definitely given exemption to people from 6 am to 12 noon, in which they can conduct their necessary activities. Along with this, Section 144 has been implemented to stop the crowd of people in the state.

At the same time, other essential services including hospitals, labs, medical stores have also been kept smooth during the curfew. Also, medical and other emergency staff have also been allowed to travel during the curfew, although they will be required to keep their I-card with them during this period.

Private vehicles have also been exempted for commuting for pregnant women, corona vaccination facilities and necessary medical care as per the new rules of lockdown issued by the state government.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan said on Monday that the curfew has been implemented only for 10 days, the result of which will be seen in the coming days.

24,171 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, while 101 patients died during this period. The Health Department of Andhra Pradesh issued a bulletin and informed about this. This is the second day in a week when more than 100 people have died due to corona virus infection.

According to the bulletin, 21,101 people have also recovered from this deadly infection during the last 24 hours. So far, 1.79 crore samples have been tested in the state.

While the number of infected people has increased to 14,35,491 after new cases are reported. The rate of corona virus infection has increased to eight percent.

In Andhra Pradesh so far, 12,15,683 people have defeated this deadly virus while 9,372 people have died due to this epidemic .
